CVH Joins Right to the City Protest of Bloomberg at Business Summit
CVH members joined protest organized by the Right to the City-NY coalition in protesting New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg during his speech to business leaders at the Grand Hyatt New York Hotel in Manhattan. Eight protesters were arrested as the group of 100 demanded that low-income people be included in the future of New York, and interrupted the event for about 15 minutes. Mayor Bloomberg was speaking at a luncheon hosted by Crain's, focused on "The Future of New York City." The protest garnered significant coverage in the media.
